Mr. Asnawa will lead the group; his wife Putu Oka Mardiani and two daughters Yunirika and Yonitika will perform several dance numbers. Featured works include his original composition: "Catur Rawita" (Beautiful Four) built on 4 tones in Anklung style; "Kebyar Ding" a seminal early 20th Century work in Kebyar style; "Siwa Natha" a modern composition in classical Semar Pagulingan style; and five Balinese dance classics: "Puspanjali" - a welcoming dance ; "Palawakya" - a virtuosic solo number; "Legong Keraton" - a classical Balinese favorite, “Topeng Tua” - a classic solo character dance;  and "Tari Cendrawasih" which portrays the interaction of male and female Birds of Paradise.

Mr. Asnawa has been faculty at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in conjunction with the Robert E. Brown Center For World Music since leaving Kansas City in 2006. He and his family maintain an active schedule performing, teaching and promoting Balinese Cultural Arts.
